The build quality of this product looks very good. The threads were pre-applied with sealant which was a nice plus. The plug has a good positive connection to the heating element. Has a long flat cord. Also: MADE IN USA! I installed mine on a 2002 4WD 1500 commuter with a 5.3 motor. The brass plug is located on the back of the engine on the driver's side. A 17mm hex wrench is required to remove the factory plug. I used a 1/2" 17mm allen wrench with a breaker. It was quite tight and took a little time to work out. A 26mm socket is required for installation. With the wobbly adapter and the long extension, it was easy to remove the brass plug. and install a block heater. There was plenty of room. I pre-drained the radiator, but there's probably still a gallon of antifreeze spilled out of the freeze plug hole. Get ready for a mess. I am satisfied with the quality of the product Winter.
