We chose this as an additional QT box for our reef aquarium. We have an acrylic stand on the sidepods but we wanted to get another one for more space. We found that the fish we placed in this box swam more and ate more readily than the fish in the transparent box. I think it gave them an extra sense of security when our other fish showed up to check on them. they were nervous. It was a great purchase! We are considering getting a second one so we have more room for incoming or outgoing fish instead of using an acrylic box!
