Plastic snaps can be cut in half

Plastic rectangles used to attach bowls to the cage can be cut in half. One was when I tried to screw it to the cage but didn't even push it hard enough to stop it from moving and it broke. I put the next one up and went to her on the floor the next day and my dog wasn't even in the cage. So it literally broke during installation. I had to use random hardware that I had to mount.

Pros
  • Instills confidence
Cons

Great water bowls

We've been using these bowls for decades and they've stood the test of time. We recently bought a couple of replacements as our rabbits have been gnawing off the bottom holders during the warmer months when we switch to bottled water. Not bad for 20+ years of use. If you want to remove wing nuts easily, we recommend applying an anti-seize compound to the studs. After two decades I had to cut them off with a hacksaw. 😆 Great price and they work great.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Vanish

Not for a cage with a big dog. Ideal for small breeds.

I have used this bowl for food and water in my dog cages for many years. I've usually always had small (less than 20 pounds) dogs. When I had the puppy, who went from 20 pounds to 40 pounds in a few months, she must have been lying or sitting on the bowl. The plastic bracket didn't hold. I really prefer this bowl over others and want it to support the weight of larger dogs who might accidentally put their weight on it when moving around the cage. I still use them for small dogs.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Band

I bought a few of these for one reason: the metal bowl. I volunteer to help rescuers and I have many adopted birds at home as well as adopted ones. They would be perfect except for the plastic nozzle on the turntable and bottom. We bought a few for the rescue but they weren't enough. Big birds can remove and chew plastic baits, so I only use them for small birds. We thought that all products are made of stainless steel. It would be ideal if so.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Minor issues

Works perfectly! for feeding and watering

I bought this for my dog crate, it's small (8lbs of a wire terrier mix) and easily attaches to the inside of the door. It sticks firmly and is easy to remove from the bowl to clean and place in fresh water. She loves her cage and gets in by herself, often we don't even close the door but she is in our bedroom so we wanted her to have access to water. She will go into the bedroom to drink from it, not the water bowl in the kitchen. (She's a crazy little thing) She usually spends a night or two…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

So far so good!: Food and water supplies

I use 2 for my cat's cage, we train her to sleep in her cage every month before our big trip. I want her to know that she cannot starve or drink whenever she wants because she is very picky about her food. (Plus, she's very potty trained, so as soon as she's released she'll go straight to the litter box. Surprisingly, she also wants to cuddle after she's stretched. A very happy kitten, even with those bowls by the door. I am definitely happy with my purchase the shells are easy to remove for…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Exterior

Watering hole for ferrets.

Ferrets should have access to a water bowl, not a water bottle, and my ferret was prone to bumping or knocking over his water bowl. I needed something to attach to the side of his ferret cage (it wasn't a bottle) and it worked really well. No more watery mess. It is very easy to attach to a ferret cage with vertical bars. If you want to remove the cup for washing or refilling, just twist it clockwise/counterclockwise and vice versa to put it back. It's very simple, I'm surprised my ferret…

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Large kennel waterer

I've had one of these (different brand) for I don't know how long. Certainly at least 10 years. I attach it to my dog's 30 inch wire cage. However recently I accidentally dropped something heavy on it and it broke (the plastic clip that the wing nut presses against is the weakest point in the system). I'm afraid that after all this time I won't be able to find a replacement. This Lixit thing solves the problem. It's exactly the same design and, as far as I can tell, the same quality as a bowl…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires outlet
