I didn't know how long it would take her to try it, especially after reading some of the reviews. But our new alley homeless liked it right away! We threw in some treats after plugging it in and she immediately jumped in. Then she curled up and fell asleep! We removed the plastic door. Great for our country cat outdoors! He has a small house in our attached garage that is not fully insulated or heated. A thermal house for a kitten is on a shelf in the corner. We bought this shelter for a street cat who adopted us. Ideal for medium-sized cats, especially in rainy, windy and cold days. The cat seems to like the warm, soft bottom. The shelter was easy and quick to install (just use the zipper). The outer fabric keeps the cat warm and dry. Has a removable transparent plastic door.
