Aegeus is one of those projects that promise to bring news to the market, seeking to solve any common problem that it presents or simply bring new ideas. In this case, their approach was destined to build a decentralized environment, using the capabilities of IPFS and Blockchain technology to store and distribute data in a completely secure way, since currently there are many problems that arise when it comes to having low a good safeguard for our documents because most of the systems to store data today have some disadvantages and disadvantages. For example, when storing data on our computer, any user can introduce malicious viruses and try to steal our information, with just a few clicks through the internet there is also the problem of storing them on a hard drive or pendrive, because at any time we could lose them. Cloud storages such as google drive could be a solution, but this type of system is not decentralized since your data is stored on the company's servers and they could access the data, edit it, and even delete it.
It is in this problem that aegeus, intended to offer a solution, through the union of 2 powerful systems such as the blockchain and the interplanetary file system (IPFS) which is basically a peer to peer network, which is created when 2 or more pc are connected without the need to go through a separate server. Basically, this union allows creating a super secure ecosystem to store files and send them safely, since when uploading a file to the platform, the file is encrypted and can only be received by the person with whom you want to share it, just as the cryptocurrency transfers on the blockchain that we know, but in this case with files.
It was a good project, intended to provide secure solutions, but unfortunately its developers were mostly novices and the project basically got stuck at the beginning, since they did not have a whitepaper or they did campaigns to attract investors interested in the project. Due to this, the project was launched on the market but in a beta phase with a very poor interface that did not attract the attention of many users and the cryptocurrency associated with the platform never had any movement in any Exchange, which led to the project being abandoned. .
