It is currently being used a lot on dogecoins subreddit. It's in top 100 in CMC ranking. It's using scrypt algorythm. The community is fun and helpful. DOGE was one of the biggest gainers in September. At the time of speaking it has market cap of $665,140,948 USD and price of $0.005719 USD Doge and ethereum were used to successfully make a bridge between two blockchains. Block reward is decreasing every couple of thousands blocks and decrease of block reward will stop at block 600k with reward of 10k DOGE/block
