Following the Ethereum hard fork, Ethereum Classic developed as an unfiltered, public, and decentralised blockchain platform. Ethereum Classic is a public and decentralised Blockchain platform that focuses on security and freedom from censorship.

Ethereum Classic is a version of Ethereum that does not have a hard fork. The DAO hack must be discussed in order to explain the birth of Ethereum Classic. DAO refers to a decentralised decision-making process that uses a voting system to make decisions without the need of any papers. DAOs use smart contracts to gather funds and then distribute tokens to participants.
