We can all agree that IOTA is a true innovation with their Directed Acyclicic Graph (DAG) technology! I really like the fact that the developers are working hard and the project is thinking outside of the cryptocurrency box. More and more devices have access to the internet and I like the idea that you can now lease that computing power. Unfortunately this also means a risk of a possible privacy breach and although IOTA claims to fully authenticate and tamperproof all data, the number of transaction is too low to proof that an attack is not possible.
IOTA is fast, there are no transaction fees, there is no blockchain, its revolutionary and can be scalled infinitely. I think this project has a high chance of reaching a 100 USD + within the next 1-3 years.
Pros
- IOTA is the only transaction layer that can scale nonlinearly. Other block based cryptos will all run into the synchronization and bandwidth issues that having blocks poses.
Cons
- Low number of transactions to proof resistance to future attacks - Design of website is frustrating and is not user friendly at all
