Currently there are a series of projects in blockchain technology, which seek to minimize the hegemony of streaming platforms such as YouTube, which do not offer any type of rewards to viewers, and force us to see hundreds of annoying ads every day. Some of those platforms that seek to be an alternative are LBRy, or Costv, but recently there is another very interesting project that I am going to talk to you about today. This project is called Jbox and it promises to be a video streaming platform based on blockchain technology, where users not only enjoy watching and creating content, but are also rewarded for it by means of a novel mining process called test load and test. of sight. With Jbox, both content creators and viewers will receive rewards in the platform's native token called Jboxcoin, which is an erc-20 token from the ethereum network and has a total supply in the market of 200 million tokens but which may increase due to its original prof of wath and proff of upload mining processes.
One of its most ambitious characteristics is that they intend to differentiate themselves from other similar platforms, by having the plan to soon introduce a decoder called Jbox-decoder, which will integrate a powerful graphics processing unit to mine the cryptocurrency more efficiently, in a system similar to amazon or Roku devices, which will have an approximate value of $ 50 and will also have all the popular streaming applications such as youtube, hulu or prime video.
The project as such, aims to create a huge marketing campaign, in which to publicize all the functionalities that they intend to create, ranging from a streaming platform, to investment plans with very tentative interests, but they still have a long way to go, since the current market there are many projects of this type, with the same objective but that have not had the success that was expected at first.
