Reading books in a different way. But the project is dead
With cryptocurrencies came ideas that sprung our from the blue which in reality does a lot to affect our daily lives. The Read project started out on the ERC platform to create a pad for which users gets to buy and sell books using the native currency of the platform, Read token in a decentralised and anonymous way. The project really made a good food for thought as to what cryptocurrencies can be used to achieve in a large scale. The issue this project faced was that its number of users were limited to China so therefore, many of the books were made in Chinese thereby reducing interaction of a global community to the use of the project
After some periods of active service, the project first came down and its utility token Began to get delisted. So far, the project has completely been exhumed and hopes are rising for another to take it's place
Pros
- Read wanted to change the way books were being used. And they sure did
- Book buying and selling were done anonymously and securely via Read
Cons
- Most of its users were in China which made most of the books written in Chinese language therefore blocking out a global community
- The project is dead now. There is no active involvement
