I've personally been using steemit hive platform for couple of months now, it's a recommended platform for all interested users to make passive income by writing good quality articles.

Interestingly being a decentralized blockchain project users are in control of their account and personal information loosing your steemit key will be very difficult for user to retrieve their account so all keys most be kept safe and not shared.
