Tron, the blockchain that gives back control to content creators
Tron is a system that works without the intervention of a central authority and allows free storage and distribution of content via a blockchain system. It was launched by a non-profit association, the Tron foundation, with the primary purpose of upsetting the traditional entertainment industry. Their ambition even goes much further: the founders of Tron wish to lift the monopoly of large companies (Google, Facebook, etc.) on the personal data of users by providing them directly to content publishers.
The Tron network aims to remove intermediaries such as Google Play or Apple Store for the distribution and storage of digital content, thus allowing individual creators to sell their works directly to the consumer and collect all of the funds. Tron thus wishes to fully release the data from any type of control. The imagined ecosystem makes it possible to obtain digital content in exchange for the dissemination of other digital resources.
Pros
- The TRON blockchain responds to a real problem: that of the very high cost of intermediaries in the entertainment world. It creates a much fairer ecosystem by giving content creators all of their rights over their creations;
- Justin Sun (CEO of TRON) is extremely popular in Asia, which inspires an example of professional success with young people. Its Peiwo application, a Chinese competitor to Snapchat, is a real success;
- TRON relies on a solid team of developers;
- The TRON community is very developed and there is a real international enthusiasm for the project.
Cons
- The token is currently largely overvalued compared to the progress of the project;
- The project is only in its first phase and it is important to remain cautious before planning a dazzling success for the TRON blockchain;
