I like the IRIS training pad better than the metal playpen I bought for my dog. The panels are made of plastic, so they can be used outdoors without rusting. I originally used it internally when potty training a puppy. When the other handle got rusty I started using the IRIS handle on the outside. We need something for our pom pom pup who is 1 1/2 and about 9 pounds. He still can't be trusted not to potty around the house when nobody's home, and can't be left out all night for the same reason. From the original four-piece Iris pet enclosure, about 24 inches high, he could easily crawl out.
