I've heard that garden grass is a lot less of a concern than timothy hay for people with nasal allergies. I've only endured a runny nose over the years we've had guinea pigs, but eventually decided to make the switch to garden weed. It's been a few months and I think it's true. Garden grass is less irritating in terms of allergies and much milder than the sometimes prickly timothy grass. Cons: No timothy seeds, which we used to find and feed to pigs as a tasty snack. There is garden grass. only grass. But the pigs take it easy. And they don't like it when I sneeze. So won-won.
