The concept is ingenious, especially for those who are constantly on the phone. Unfortunately, the execution does not correspond to the concept. In practice, the connection is unstable and erratic, and charging takes longer than simply connecting the phone with a regular cable. And this is somewhat random - it charges normally, but then the horrible "This accessory may not be supported" pops up with no movement. I've tried it with a number of iDevices (iPhone, iPad, etc.) and even bought extra tips just in case. that I might have gotten a bad batch. It's sad - the concept is awesome, but unfortunately they don't work well in real life!
