I bought this for my 1987 Chevrolet pickup and noticed it.

I bought this for my 1987 Chevrolet pickup and immediately noticed my engine temp went up over 60 degrees. Plugged in my scanner to see what the other coolant temp gauge read, it showed the same as the thermostat but to be sure I compared the readings with an IR gun, the temp in the thermostat head and body was within 5 degrees . offset by 190 degrees from each other. I have always bought parts for ac delco and have never complained. I suspect they have now given things away to inferior suppliers.
