These pants are the expected size and have a lot of stretch in the waist. But the pants themselves are indecently long. I have long legs and they still sweep the floor for me. It's great if you boot up, if you lie down don't have cold ankles, but don't plan on walking a lot or you'll trip. I had 2 sizes, small and large, and my friend had the same problem, they were also very long. In general they are very soft and light. That's a plus for Florida because too heavy is never wearing out.
