Took me less than three hours to remove the tank and install a new fuel pump = Carter P75040M $114.29. You MUST also order new tank straps from Revain = Spectra Premium ST164 $26.31 Tank hanger bolts (supplied new with strap) can be sheared in minutes with a hacksaw blade using the Milwaukee HackZall. He gave no sparks like a cutting wheel. Forget trying to turn the nuts on the belt clip, the bars are rusty and cannot be removed. Use tape to secure the rubber from your old straps in about six places as it will try to come loose when you install the tank. Drain the tank first, it's pretty heavy on its own.
