Put it next to the pole and the birds will eventually jump.

This bird bath looks great and can be placed anywhere on the side of the cage. At first, this bird bath did not bother the parrots. Then I thought that it wasn't easy for them to get in because I had the bird bath far from their perches. I thought the birds would just fly in and end up in the bird bath. After 2 days I put the bird bath right next to their perches. The birds then jumped onto the wall of the bird bath, leaned forward, and only used the bathtub for drinking. It wasn't until a week later that I saw the birds finally go into the water and dip their whole bodies in the water several times, then jump out and settle down again, shaking their feathers. This bird bath is the perfect size for parrots. Not too big and not too small. I only fill the bird bath 1/2 full with water, which is what the instructions suggest. Another note: the tub must be rotated 180 degrees clockwise to engage the lever attached to the side wall of the cage. . To remove the bird bath, rotate it 180 degrees counter-clockwise.
