This little stone comes in an elegant leather pouch and is just what I need when travelling. He comes from a now-closed mine, from a land of ancient smiths, swordsmen, and rare steel that bled in battle. There is much to consider when choosing a stone in a place with such legendary craftsmanship. After polishing the razor to a mirror shine on King #6000, I took my new, freshly polished stone and attempted to work its magic on the razor. my face so badly needed. After a few minutes of work with my 100 year old American razor, the blade was riddled with small scratches. I have a 2lb incredibly thin natural stone at home that I use after #6000 and it gives the blade an amazing shine before sharpening it to #20000 and then to #50000. In this case, the ocean blue stone looks more like a #4000 stone and leaves me a bit confused when I'm spending $35 on something that isn't actually very useful in the role I bought it for. He even removed the polish from my EDC pocket knife (154 cm). I'll keep it, but only because I can use it after stone #3000, but I'll still find a better travel companion.
