(shiny black), overall a nice grill. This is an updated look for the f10 5 series but with some quality control issues. Upon unboxing, I noticed that the plastic feels thinner and doesn't feel as strong in hand compared to my factory chrome grille. Upon inspection, I also noticed a dirty black spray paint on the back of the grille. It's not visible after installation, but it should do a neat job and I didn't expect it to be done that way. All the clamps line up correctly, but with a slight difference in the form of foam around the factory part that finally got a chance to do its job, I noticed a small gap between that grille and the bulky body. Removing my original grille was not the recommended method as I pulled it out forcefully with no broken clips. Installing this dual grid was just a matter of aligning it and using some force (not too hard) to push in until I was sure each clip was in place. It really was a 5 minute job or less. At first I missed my original grilles and thought they didn't look right, but that was only because the car was dirty and those grilles were new and clean. A day later everything came together nicely and this gloss black was a nice accent to my graphite gray exterior. I'm happy with the view at the end of the day.
