Review on DB Electrical 410-21090 Starter: Compatible with 🏍️ Victory Motorcycle Kingpin, Vegas, Vision, and more models by Will Ridpath

The first starter arrived damaged in transit, not surprising given the two relatively thin boxes with no seals and the shaft protruding from the shipping carton. I sent it immediately because the shaft was a bit bent. The replacement came a few days later. The inner box had a shaft hole but the outer box didn't. On my Victory Vision Tour it takes 6-8 hours to replace the starter. Complete PITA as you have to remove the entire exhaust system to get to the starter. The starter motor replacement was noisy but serviceable, however, an oil leak occurred. This weekend I swapped out the starter and replaced the O-ring. Another 7 hours spent. Took it for a test drive and it stranded me as the starter motor didn't seem to engage/disengage. Pushed to the house and the oil leak is still there. Willing to pay much more for OEM.
