I'm new to the Okami brand. I just bought my first a few months ago. Which started my obsession and resulted in me getting this. First of all these knives are fantastic and I love the beautiful Pakka wood handle. I knew I had to cut and cook a lot of holiday meals and it didn't disappoint at all! Cooking is my place in zen, but it shouldn't have been this holiday season. Everyone and their mother kept interrupting me to try my knife. I'm used to Okami's perfectly balanced balance, but they were very impressed with it. I haven't picked up any of my old knives since I got on the Okami train. To be honest, they go straight to the donation pile. This knife is great for cutting anything. It just slips! Even through accidentally overcooked pork chops. I also love that this knife comes in a really great box. It comes with a lid and cleaning cloth to keep it in pristine condition between uses.
