Hose is likely compressed (airflow/clogging) due to packaging. The first person at Eureka was not nice and told me to go to Amazon with a broken part, called a second time and was great - sent me a FedEx replacement hose, very nice of them. Otherwise NOT that loud, insanely strong suction - oh be careful with the handle, there is a small window on the opposite side for air to escape to make it less powerful - seriously it will suck your fingers - Children also be careful. The loving brush seems to be spinning everywhere.
