Review on πŸ”ͺ Shapton Homogeneous Waterstones, the Traditional Choice for Sharpening by Amicz Kakaruk

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Recommended by Burrfection, my first 120 grit setting stone.

I've watched a lot of Burrfection YouTube videos and Ryky has made a lot of videos about the Shapton Pro 120 stone. I had a couple of chipped knives at home and they were cheaper knives from a typical Asian market. Instead of throwing away knives and buying new ones, I used a Shapton Pro 120 to repair all the blades. I watched a few Burrfection YouTube videos on how to fix a knife and it worked surprisingly well. The material was removed very quickly and after repairing the chipped edges I finished sharpening on the King 1000/6000 combo stone and the knives are as good as new and sharper than ever.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Requires socket
