Reckless attempt to ruin a great product! The old design of the VacuVin stopper was such that the large ribs on the rubber stem would stick to the neck of the bottle until you pulled them out, even without applying a vacuum. So if you're using it as a temporary seal after opening lots of white wine before a party, it'll be easier to put back in the fridge. It worked great. But unless evacuated, these blunt things fall too easily from overfilled bottles and spill uncontrollably. I don't want to evacuate every bottle because it affects the taste of the wine and is a waste of time because the ladies are sipping this white wine like the nectar of the gods! Back to the old design - please!
