It took a few days to work properly. I understood the reset button pretty well. The problem was that we have a static IP and I didn't understand their network interface settings. The setup documentation is probably written in plain English for a seasoned IT admin, but unless your job involves IT on a daily basis, it might take some trial and error to get it working. Everything you need to do is there, you just need to take a few leaps in understanding to make it work. Just take the time to look at the help files and the support website, which is pretty good by the way. Once it works, it seems to work fine. I've been using it for a few days and I haven't noticed any degradation in my speed tests and if you watch the monitor you can see that it's blocking all types of traffic that we didn't request. Since we have a fixed IP address, we ran some checks and tests on our software firewalls, but we found that our Layer 2 firewalls sometimes stopped working. With the advent of ransomware, I needed a more professional solution. This hardware firewall was my solution. Since its installation, the amount of blocked traffic has decreased daily. To date, we have not had a single probe that would penetrate firewalls at the software level. So in the end it works fine. I gave it a one star rating based on the startup and setup documentation.
