This amp is clearly overrated. With a 40A fuse on the side, it doesn't put out thousands of watts of power. However, the loudspeakers bought for it are probably also overpriced, so that nowadays it is a kind of mishmash to put together a harmonious stereo system. In any case, this amp works very well in my car. I have all 5 channels feeding my entire system from 2 to 4 ohms. It sounds clean and doesn't make a hissing or popping engine noise. However, I have 2 minor complaints. On the one hand the cable harness attachment for the front. I don't mind connectors, but the wires themselves are about 24 gauge or so, they're very small. It makes me feel like I can easily damage them and I don't like it. The second complaint is that I have one channel with zero gain, one with about 1/4 gain and one with about 1/2 gain. After about an hour of continuous playback, the amp starts to get very hot. If a person kept turning it on, they would encounter overheating issues. My system uses 100% copper wire and I use the RCA inputs for the amplifier. If you are using cheap cables and high level inputs your experience may differ. If you're spending hundreds on your system, try to save $20 on wiring by using cheap junk. but that is off topic. Anyway, I still give this item 5 stars. It's so small that it can easily be hidden in a car and works very well. The complaints I have are very minor and do not affect the performance of the amp for my application.
