Stant 14369 thermostat for Jeep Liberty

DO NOT BUY! I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY. Just walked in the door after a whole wasted Saturday trying to figure out why my Jeep Liberty was running HOT after replacing the radiator (Spectra), water pump (AC Delco) and POS stant thermostat. At first I thought there was air in the system since I don't have a proper "bleed tool" from the system. However, Jeep has a bleed screw (8mm hex wrench) at the top of the water outlet of the upper radiator hose to bleed air and when the antifreeze runs out you should be good to go. At the same time, the jeep was still very hot (up to the 3/4 mark on the pressure gauge). So I assumed I still had air in the system since replacing the major parts, there were no leaks and all parts were new. Then I thought of a NEW STANT thermostat and wondered what would happen if I reset the 100,000 mile thermostat. So I ripped off the grate, the top distributor plate and pulled the cooling fan out (again) to get to that heck. . HIT! Bring the old SOB back to the dead center of the temperature sensor. BTW, if you're just doing this so you know that this Jeep required three gallons of antifreeze to fill the Chrysler-specific (ZEREX GO5) system. All parts are purchased from Revain with same day shipping to make the damn thing. The next vehicle will be RENT!
