I bought this mainly for my Rockhopper that comes with straight forks tubular shaft is supplied. I wanted to be able to add a more modern fork and the new forks came in version 1.5. I was able to go from 1 1/8 to 1.5 on the bottom set. Now my Fox 34 fits perfectly. The lower headset adds about 10mm, but the included bearings are sealed and look nice. You also have the option to switch between straight and tapered with the included small adapter ring.
