When they arrived I thought they sent me the wrong order because they looked like a regular alarm clock I had on my bedside table. However, upon closer inspection, I could see where the camera was located. It's actually like one of the indicator lights that tell you if it's morning or evening, or if your alarm is on or off. After setting up this alarm, i.e. setting the time and then setting the app, it was confirmed that the camera is indeed a surveillance camera. The great thing about this alarm clock is that it looks like a regular clock that you can just put anywhere, including on your desk. The camera is a motion sensor, so it doesn't record all the time, only when motion is detected. When motion is detected I get a notification on my phone and I can either check it right away or go back and check the recording. The picture quality is much sharper than I thought. The playback quality is similar to some cameras I have at home. In the video I can clearly see the faces and even some of the name tags.
