We installed a dedicated desk/tabletop and wanted to avoid having to plug in transient items (laptops, phone chargers, gaming consoles, etc.) and it's just a passport. Now we have the opportunity to charge 2-3 devices. Installation was easy, but a word of caution: make sure there are no obstructions underneath before you start drilling the hole. I started where there was a metal crossbar at the bottom of the closet, which meant I ended up having to move the opening an inch. Ouch! The snap ring needs about 1/2 inch below the surface on all sides for a snug fit.
