This Power Sleeve did exactly the same as my previous one. USB charging failed. It charges in a short time. Maybe a few days or so. Then it fails. Start using the next port and it will fail after a few days. I don't use an AC connection, but that's nice. I'm charging an iPhone 7, and as I said in my title, USBs don't charge for long. I gave up and just left it for AC when I needed it and to fill the hole. This is disappointing.

Installed it on the back/top of the bedside table and it worked great. Drilled a hole in the top of the bedside table, drilled a hole in the back of the bedside table for a cord, cut a notch in the back of the bedside table drawer to allow the drawer to slide in and out without hitting the part of the outlet I was putting on and done. I bought two of these power splitters to install in my office's built in shelving system so I can connect two Sonos speakers. The product is well made and very easy to assemble. The power cords are long, which is very convenient as I had to route them behind the built-in outlet. USB outlets work just as well and charge my phones quickly. Great price and good easy to install product. The only small disadvantage are the missing screws. It would be nice if matching black screws were included.

I installed this in a table but was surprised to see that the short sides of the unit have a protrusion just a few millimeters larger than the hole you would need to cut in the table. I hope you are better at woodworking than me as inevitably my hole was too big and therefore not as clean as I would like the light to shine through the sides of the unit. Not recommended! So far the product is working fine but is losing stars due to the design. As you can see in my first photo, the bulge on the bezel is exactly a quarter dollar thick on the long sides. You need to be very precise with your cuts, if you vary more than a quarter from the thickness you will see part of the mounting hole. If I wasn't a professional carpenter, I wouldn't have made it. UPDATED: USB ports really work! We apologize for the confusion. Turns out the charging cable we used was bad. So I changed it from 3 to 5 stars. I love having two power outlets and two USB ports in this sleek power adapter for my kitchen island. It fits perfectly under the counter and is hardly noticeable.
