I have 2 dogs, the smallest is some sort of beagle/foxhound mix. We got it today and she surprisingly had the beak torn open in only a few minutes tops! She happily dragged the stuffing out and carried the flatten beak bird to me. Even though she felt proud of her "accomplishment", I was bummed! She is NOT the dog that I thought I would have to keep the "close eye on" with it and it all happened SO fast! As such, I cannot recommend this Tuffy item to anyone. We have had the Tuffy tug-o-war toy since Christmas and that one except for a bit of fraying on edge has held up so well. I would consider that one instead if you are looking for a more durable toy.
