Review on LEZYNE CNC Al Bicycle Bottle Cage Bracket: Boost Your Efficiency with Easy Access, Lightweight Aluminum, and Secure Water Bottle Holder by Colin Arcos

Honestly, I bought these cages because they purr. Almost all "high-end" water bottle cages you see these days are made out of carbon fiber. I wanted a set of aluminum frames that reflected my pride in having an aluminum bike over a carbon fiber bike, and I wanted the frames to look as good as the bike. By the way, this is a Cannondale Caad10 bike. The frames themselves are perfectly finished and can be easily attached to the bike. The black finish is quite glossy, there were no chips or scratches upon receipt. How they work, what can I say? They hold my water bottles great and the cage doesn't rattle against the bike frame. They feel a little stiffer than a traditional metal bottle cage in terms of water bottle insertion and removal, but it's not too problematic. As mentioned above, purchasing these fancy cells was more of a cosmetic consideration than a performance one. My bike is white with black lettering and very dark blue on the rear stays. I bought black cages to balance the white frame and to match the black bar tape and black saddle. I nearly pulled the trigger on the whites with black Lezyne lettering and still wish I'd bought them instead of the black ones just to see how they changed the look of the bike. I still could. The cages are expensive, especially as they are priced on par with some carbon cages, but they are quality and I can't imagine any of them ever breaking. The same probably goes for the $3 metal bottle cage. Buying these cages isn't a rational decision, but if you're like me, a lot of your bike and related purchases aren't going to be rational decisions. They were bought purely out of vanity. In this regard, they have more than satisfied this customer.
