First of all, I don't get paid for it. I'm just in love... Something about me - I'm one of those people who try (I stress the word "try") to be frugal. I cook a lot myself because I think it's healthier and, to be honest, a lot cheaper than cooking at home. One of the things I often cook is bread. Every other day. (Whenever it gets low... At least three times a week.) As someone trying not to overpay, I can't justify $200+ for a stand mixer. Not when a hand mixer is so cheap and usually lasts for several years. I spent $5 on my last one and lived almost 9 years... He died just before Christmas. (Boy that sucks!) Anyway, it got me searching. And to be honest, I've been drooling over stand mixers so I've finally decided to give them another review. When I came across this one with all the attachments... I always thought very neatly, but no. Still too expensive. But I kept thinking about it and thinking about it... Well, it's January 6th, 2021 and it's on my counter. Bottom Line - YOU SHOULD HAVE DID THIS EARLIER! Thing is amazing. All jets are a bit scary at first (simply because it's a lot at once), but! It's actually very easy to use. Easy cleaning. Surprisingly, it is actually very quiet. I did not expect this. Does it make noise? Yes of course. However, my hand mixer made a lot more noise when it was brand new than this thing. The first thing I did was bake bread. I feel cheated. It was damn easy. With how often I bake bread - the thing is worth it. I haven't tried the rest yet! The bowl was so clean that all I had to do was wipe it down; the same with the dough hook. Much less mess (and flour waste) than before! The mixing bowl is very deep. Mixing attachments are designed for heavy loads. The whisk is huge. (Oh the meringues turn out so delicious!) The blender is such a nice heavy quality glass - I haven't seen one like this since my great aunt! They are usually cheap plastic but not this one! The chopper is made of metal and has a certain weight. It looks like if cared for it will survive the blender itself. The "weakest" parts are most likely the pasta maker and the sausage maker. Because they are plastic. They're not made of "heavy" plastic, but they're not cheap either. Somewhere inbetween. In truth, as long as this thing is in good condition, it should last you a few years. I'm definitely in love with this one! I can't wait to try the pasta machine! Oh, and a little note on the "little cookbook" that came with it. The first appetizers are not a "little" cookbook. He's a decent size. Not huge but definitely a decent size. Has a good mix of new and classic recipes. Even a few imitative recipes. The book is a very good addition to the hobby cook's recipe collection!
