Review on Lincoln Electric 1230 Whip Hose by Ray Welchhance

Check the topics before buying. I bought this hose and didn't realize that one end is 1/8 NPT and the other 7/16 x 28 as far as I can tell. So the fields are the same, but the forms are definitely different. The 1/8 NPT thread fits my Lincoln 1142 and grease fitting, but the straight machine thread doesn't! As for the hose, it appears to be high quality but rather stiff and "bouncy". I reduced the straight machine thread to 1/8 NPT with a die, but it would be wiser to be more careful and buy a threaded hose that matches my grease gun model. UPDATE: According to the packaging, the manufacturer says: WHIP HOSE, 30 inches (762 mm). Designed for use with the Lincoln PowerLuber Grease Gun. Features designed for all automotive, industrial and agricultural applications.
