Review on 🌊 Enhance Vivarium & Terrarium Water Quality: Penn-Plax Reptology Crystal-Falls Tiered Water Filtration System by Heather Johnson

No instructions, LARGE, barely fits in a 10 gallon tank Lasts 4 months

UPDATE ***Four months of work, dead dead. Doesn't draw water and doesn't run at all. Now I need a new filter and a new location. It's her favorite place to sunbathe and I have to clean it up because he's dead. Waste of money, look elsewhere! Absolutely no instructions, can't figure out where to put the cable. I threaded it through the top but now the top doesn't sit flush because there is no cord hole. In the pictures the pump isn't actually installed so I can't figure out where it is. I've never had a pump where the cable runs through the water. The pump is actually about 3 inches tall and has only a few holes to add water to it and the waterfall flow rate is pretty small overall. What I think is charcoal in each and very thin polyester. They are only about 3.5 x 1.5 inches. There are 2 slots where I think the filters go but one doesn't want to go all the way in so I moved it to the other side. In the long run these filters will NOT keep a 10 gallon aquarium clean, especially for a turtle, even if doubled like mine. I know my ramp is wrong but I can't figure out how. flush with the other side. Even though my water is closer to the minimum water level, the end of the ramp is floating. My turtle hasn't figured out how to get up the ramp yet and I'm worried it's too steep. Good idea, bad execution.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
