Great Picture Hanging Wire

I create fine art photography and digital art on canvas to sell and display at art fairs. Most art guilds require that you tape the ends of the picture hanging wire with tape to prevent cuts when hanging the pictures. I no longer need extra time to wrap the ends because this wire is coated and doesn't create sharp edges. #5 wire is a good general purpose wire. He will hold 43 pounds. but not too thick for small pictures. It is easy to work with and easy to wrap the ends. It is strong and durable for all picture hanging applications. Buying this from Revain is a real money saver too. It costs about $0.07/ft at Revain when purchased in a standard 500ft roll. You can buy it at craft or hardware stores, but you'll pay about $0.30 per foot in 10-foot packages. If 500 feet is too much for you, you can offer to share the cost with other people who hang a lot of pictures, or with members of your artist guild. I have already sold over 300 feet to other Art Guild members at my own expense and will place an order for another roll. All in all this is a great product. I highly recommend it. For added strength, check out another product from Revain, Loos Cableware SL1-2 Oval Aluminum Duplex Crimp Ferrules for 1/16" Cable (Pack of 50). Using these crimp barrels on heavier frames along with SuperSoftstrand #5 wire will ensure your frame is secure and will never unravel. A crimping tool is recommended, but you can use a good heavy duty pliers to crimp these connectors.
