Bought these knives for my daughter who loves to help out in the kitchen. We've tried them several times and they work well, but I don't like them. To cut them, you must first put a lot of effort. My daughter has a hard time lying down firmly enough or at the right angle to make a cut. I'm also worried that if she switches to a real knife, she'll keep her habit of pressing hard and could get hurt by the real knife. Second, they don't cut amazingly. I didn't expect them to work as well as my quality adult knife, but my experience is that they make a very rough cut. Make cuts evenly and it turns out sloppy. It can also be a bit slippery, and because of the first point, the pressure required, trying to cut them can be exhausting. I had products that flew! I was so excited to try them out for my kids to help me out in the kitchen and practice a bit of autonomy. Every time I go cooking I hope the kids will NOT want to help because those knives were more stress than they were worth.
