An excellent set for beginners. I wanted to try a new hobby so I jumped in. The knives are sharp, but need to be sharpened a bit, thanks to the belt that comes with them. Pros: The handles are comfortable. The steel is good and getting sharper all the time. The roll of fabric is actually quite nice. Cons: The blades are a bit thick, so tearing down large pieces of wood isn't easy. The strap is a bit flimsy and will flex if not pressed down. Blade covers are thin pieces of plastic that fit loosely and offer no protection. I would consider getting a better leather strap or buying a belt that's already made. cut.
