This antenna really works! I connected it to my Netgear LB2120 4G LTE modem which uses a TS9 connector for additional external antennas. Of course, even without detailed statistics, there is an improvement in signal quality. With no antenna I get about 3 bars of signal quality on the modem meters and with an antenna I get all 5 bars. To really make sure I wasn't just testing for randomness, I pointed the antenna at the ground and got 0 bars, then I pointed it out the window and got 4 to 5 bars. That tells me the external antenna is definitely working. You can see my attached image showing the difference in signal stats before and after installing the antenna. However, to really get the most out of this antenna, you need to set it up correctly and point it at the closest cell tower to your location. This differs from an omnidirectional antenna, which gets a signal from all directions, but more like a directional antenna, where you have to point it in the right spot to get the best signal. An omnidirectional antenna can be thought of as an ordinary lightbulb, and a directional antenna can be thought of as a searchlight. This is a great antenna and really helps improve call quality for my relatives who live in an area further from cell towers resulting in weaker signal strength which has been a problem especially in pandemic emergencies when meetings are physically restricted.
