I just installed it on my Triumph Thunderbird 1699 CC. The diameter of this motorcycle is almost the same as the clamp that comes with this product. The supplied tap cannot fulfill this purpose either, since it increases the diameter and therefore cannot be clamped onto the handlebars. What I did was I wrapped the electric faucet around the handlebars where I wanted to mount it and then it was easy to tighten the handlebar clamp bolt. I was looking for an extra wire around the battery that connected to the motor. switch and connect the hot wire (red) to this and the cold wire (negative) to the negative terminal of the battery. It worked well.
