Buy the best alkaline water filters because the ones that come with the jug don't last long!
The pitcher works great but when I run water through the filters it's there. You might have had a good use for the alkalinity and it turned acidic. I know this because I have purchased several alkaline water testers from Amazon to test the life of the filters over time. And when I compared it to other alkaline water filters I bought on Amazon. Other filters like (Gold Stone) actually worked better and lasted longer than the filters that came with the jug.
