Holy crow this thing is amazing

I'm 50 years old and to be honest I haven't come across anything lately that amazes me how well this works. Maybe it's a 30 year career in IT or just the experience I've gained over half a century that makes me expect mediocre or something just barely enough. My goal is not just to buy a classic car, but to strip and paint it this summer. I am currently working on color grading which means sanding the raw color smooth and then compositing/buffing it to a nice shine. Sanded some parts down to 3000 grit over the weekend which left a pretty dull look. Then I crossed out that list, the next step in the process. I was only expecting a modest improvement since the parts were small so I hand mixed them but damn I was wrong. After a little hand rubbing, I had an almost mirror-smooth finish! I couldn't believe how fast and how well Meguiar's 105 worked, especially since I didn't even use a machine to apply it. I know it contains microabrasives and I know it's designed to remove scratches, but still. I was amazed by this stuff. The next day I applied 105 with Buffer to some of the larger parts and it mirrored them instantly. general. Finishing off with Meguiar's 205 polishing paste resulted in very little (if any) noticeable improvement, to be honest. Admittedly this is my first time painting a car and I had to do a flashy paint job so the process was quite educational in many ways. Maybe any wipe paste will work just as well as Meguiar's 105, but considering how much you get for the price and how well it's worked for me, it's not a hard buy. Maybe the name doesn't have a cache of boutique brands, but damn it works well.
