BE CAREFUL! in Gymnastics

I bought it because the idea is great. I have hula hoops at home and they are a great workout, especially for light workouts after having a baby. I bought it to train on a business trip. Unfortunately, the thing broke the first time I used it. It literally exploded and shattered into pieces. I'm not an engineer so I'm not exactly sure what happened to make it chip off like that, but the sharp plastic edges ended up cutting my legs as the pieces came loose. After all that being said I ended up sending it back.
