Review on 🚴 Urban 500 Bike Headlights by Light & Motion by Chase Dunn

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent light, albeit imperfect, but still recommended.

Does everything as advertised and has the perfect amount of light to bridge the dark gaps between streetlights in a small town, a former agricultural suburb where most roads are substandard. The marker lights are fairly bright but may be overshadowed by the "cockpit" controls or accessories on your bike. The light intensity of the main lamp is surprisingly evenly distributed and illuminates the road and the wayside "just right". without hot spots or sharp edges. The elastic's attachment is fairly easy to adjust in place, but whether it's the bulk of the light or the stickiness of the silicone-rubber mix, it's never wandered on its own. Absolutely durable. The point where the body of the light friction clip is inserted into the band is a different story. The fact that I can remove the flashlight to charge it internally is nice, but it doesn't grip the stylus tight enough and the flashlight spins too easily if accidentally bumped. However, he never left the bike. Under the front of the light is a sealed hatch with an o-ring for a mini USB charging socket (micro? needs to be double checked) and the sealing works fine but the hatch cover is held in place by a plastic extension. I'm afraid the plastic hinge line will harden and crack over time, but what's more annoying is that the sunroof extension just pops out when I open the sunroof. This has happened to me several times and there is little I can do about it. I just hope I don't lose it unexpectedly and lose the o-ring with it. All in all it's great, looks great and I'm totally happy with it. except for these few nits, enough to deduct a star. I would still recommend it as a great mid-light bike light.
