Severe drop in quality over the past few years

I drive a lot at night and have had about 8 of these headlights in the last 10 years and they used to be the best and most reliable headlights out there. I've broken (due to wear and tear) and lost a few of these over the years and it hasn't been hard to replace them with the same ones. The old ones, where the lowest setting "pulses" between two brightness levels, had the best lights around, and I still have a few that work great. They were virtually indestructible and withstood years of daily…

4.5 Stars - Amazing bike light with small flaws

First of all, this is a great bike light. This is BRIGHT. I rode streets that the cyclist in front of me crossed because they thought the light was the headlight of a car. I like the yellow lights on the side. Pulse mode is great for use on trails where you want cyclists/pediatricians to see you but not blind you, or as a daytime running light. Pulse mode might not be as noticeable as some other hard flashlights, but Pulse is less confusing when driving because you don't get the "stop-start"…

Excellent light, albeit imperfect, but still recommended.

Does everything as advertised and has the perfect amount of light to bridge the dark gaps between streetlights in a small town, a former agricultural suburb where most roads are substandard. The marker lights are fairly bright but may be overshadowed by the "cockpit" controls or accessories on your bike. The light intensity of the main lamp is surprisingly evenly distributed and illuminates the road and the wayside "just right". without hot spots or sharp edges. The elastic's attachment is…

Reliable and working

I've had this flashlight a little over 3 years now and have been using it almost every day for the past 7 months. Before the extra time away from home made the morning commute possible, I used a flashlight occasionally, but most of the time it was in my pocket, waiting to be used. While not technically a 'cheat', I found I could use a little more light than 500 lumens. On the street (bike lanes) where there are streetlights, it works well. For portions of my ride that involve channel stretches…
