This is not a functional product. The distance between a candle and a ceramic basin can be up to a meter; I can stick my index finger between the flame and the bottom of the cup with no discomfort. I've had a standard candle burning for two hours now and a tablespoon of salted butter that's still in a solid form, so I definitely wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Tested in a draft-free room at approximately 66-67 degrees Fahrenheit.
