The performance is too high

I bought two of these panels. Once "55 W" and once "100 W". I installed them on my 4runner's roof rack to charge the battery while my 50q ARB fridge was running. The panels were routed through a Victron MPPT controller and all numbers are based on sunny days with CO with high temperatures of 85⁰-95⁰F. All of the days compared were in my work lot, where no trees or buildings would get in my way if I park there every day from 9am to 5:30pm. Before these panels I used a 30W panel from another manufacturer. Under the same conditions, this panel regularly achieved 76-83% of its rated output. Pros: - The eyelets made it easier to mount on my roof rack. - The all-black design appeals to me visually. Plugs appear to be of good quality. Cons: The 55W panel put out a meager 6W one day and 7W the next. That's 11-12% of the panel's rated power. That's also less than 1/3 watt that I can get out of my 30 watt panel under the same conditions. The "100W" panel performed better, but still only managed 53-67W (53-67% of rated power). - After my car went through a no-touch wash, the power of the 100W panel was reduced to 23-37% of the rated power. This leads me to conclude that part of the panel was not waterproof as advertised and is now shorted out. All in all I wanted to like these panels but they just aren't made for real use. I am returning both and will use a different brand solar panel to meet my needs.
